2019 Marines Western Regional Results

Freestyle Results

California had 20 girls place in freestyle. This time the number of placers were split down the middle between high school age wrestlers and those who are younger.

Something I need to mention about the high school division is that the top four place winners in each 16U and Junior weight class at the Western Regional qualify for their state’s National Team above the state limit. So, technically, the 10 girls that place have qualified to be part of the team travelling to Fargo this year. The first payment for the trip was due prior to the Western Regional taking place, so it will be interesting to see if in fact the qualified wrestlers will be added to the team, I certainly hope they are.
