2019 CAUSA Cadet-JR Girls Folkstyle State Results

I’m a little late in posting this, but what else is new? It’s nice to see wrestlers continue their season beyond CIF. 104 wrestlers registered for the Cadet Girls division, a 17% percent drop from last year (126). In the Junior Girls division, 158 wrestlers registered versus 157 last year for a negligible increase. • Unity Cordova of Corona was ranked 8th in the final JB rankings of the season but did not get a nod from the seeding committee. After falling to Rayna Prasad of Santa Monica in the second round she battled all the way back and earned her way to state by besting 10th ranked

Well, the CIF Southern Section Championships have come and gone. It appears this year’s edition held many learning opportunities for all parties involved, from the wrestlers all the way up to the section office. Let’s hope everyone takes those lessons and applies them to next year.
